ARTICLE #31

Self initiated in collaboration with Mariëlle van Genderen & Hanneke Minten

Article #31 is our personal completion to the 30 excisting human rights. We need the media to form an opinion about the world around us. Therefore this posterseries stresses the right for media freedom. We collected a list of journalists which were killed in the last three years, Each of us portreted one of them.

I memorized Hrant Dink (1954), wich was assassinated in Istanbul in 2007. He was the founder and editor of Agos, a Turkisch-Armenian newspaper. The text on the poster shows his last column, published in his own newspaper. These were the final lines from that column.

Article #31 was exposed at Villa Nuts (the Hague) from 26-3 untill 3-4.
